Landscape is my passion

Do you find that certain pllaces make your heart sing? I had that sensation this morning when I found a beautiful wildflower meadow. It wasn’t lost! I’d just never heard of it before. In the UK the Wildlife Trust is holding a *30DaysWild event this June. I’ve been taking part – feeding my love ofContinue reading “Landscape is my passion”

I seem to have gone Goth today - must be the grey skies outside- so here’s a stormy sea rising for Rabbie Burns- I must try and do a little video of how I’m stitching those thick dark lines… it involves sashiko threads 😉
Fusible web painted!
😱
Bobbed over to the fabulous @justcanny126 for a quick restock of cards and giclées and loved Maggie’s story about @bethanlaker_illustration tea towels being kept under the counter because they’re so rude 😂 mind you, we’ll have to mind our language if the gorgeous #whitleybay is getting featured in the @waitrose in-house paper ‘weekend’ !
As promised- I went back to the drawing board! With my head full of those wintery scenes it’s surprising how warm the colour palette is in these pieces.
Well, it was beautiful and extremely cold, walking today. We covered a lot of miles around Cragside chopping and changing our route to get round path closures. Luckily the carriageway drive was closed to vehicles (because of the ice and snow) so that helped us link up routes. Nelly’s Moss was frozen, icicles were forming, paths were covered in animal prints. A wintery delight- but only quick sketches done as it was just too nippy! Actually HAD to go to @runningfoxcafe to warm up after 😆 their ‘Sharing is Caring’ platter was delicious 😋
Cheviot all dressed in white this morning!
Definitely winter 🥶 in the workroom today! Beautiful bright sunlight outside though
